He obtained his BS degree in molecular biology and biotechnology in the University of the Philippines and currently pursuing MS degree in Computer Science in the same university. His work in PGC is mainly in the genomic biosurveillance of COVID-19 but later delved into developing scalable pipelines of different bioinformatics analyses in-house. He also works in data engineering and management of genetic and clinical data. Being part of the local bioinformatics community in the Philippines, he also teaches in trainings and internship programs to build the capacity of other local bioinformaticians.
