Luisa is a PhD student at the Comparative Bioinformatics Lab at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Barcelona. Her research focuses on advancing comparative bioinformatics techniques, particularly through the integration of diverse data sources like sequences and structures, and leveraging deep learning methodologies. She obtained her BSc in Bioinformatics at TUM Munich and MSc in Bioinformatics at UPF Barcelona. Before delving into method development, she dedicated two years to a research project at the Barcelona Computing Center (BSC) where she investigated lncRNA expression at the single-cell level, with a focus on its dynamics upon Ebola infection.
