Ira Iosub is a computational biologist with background in both molecular biology and bioinformatics. During her PhD at the University of Edinburgh, she combined experimental and computational approaches to investigate gene expression changes in microorganisms adapting to nutrient variations. Currently, as a postdoctoral researcher at the Crick, she focuses on computational techniques to understand RNA networks by integrating multiple transcriptomic datasets. Additionally, she has organised the Crick Data Challenge, the institute's annual hackathon that brings together wet-lab biologists and data experts to solve complex scientific problems.
